OUR STORY
Boss Origins
Boss Hygiene was founded by Certified Occupational Hygienist Ash Boss-Handley to provide technically rigorous occupational hygiene that is grounded in the realities of the workplace.
After a decade working across complex workplaces and industries, Ash saw an opportunity to build the kind of consultancy she wanted to work with: technically rigorous, responsive and pragmatic, with senior expertise remaining close to the work from the initial scope through to the final advice.
Our value lies in the judgement we bring to the evidence. We combine scientific rigour, extensive industry experience and a practical understanding of workplaces to provide clear, defensible advice that supports decisions at every level, from the frontline to the boardroom and courtroom.

Meet the Founder
Ash Boss-Handley
DIRECTOR AND CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENIST
Ash is a post-graduate qualified professional with a decade of experience providing strategic advice on workplace health risks across major infrastructure, mining, manufacturing, construction, government and heavy industry. She oversees every engagement, setting the technical direction and reviewing all assessments, from site assessments and monitoring programs through to expert evidence, governance reviews and board-level advice.
Ash partners with organisations to navigate complex exposure risks, establish effective occupational health governance frameworks and develop practical, evidence-based solutions that protect worker health while supporting operational and business objectives. She is recognised for building trusted client relationships, engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels and translating complex technical challenges into clear, pragmatic advice that enables informed decision-making.
